Friday, October 30th will be Horn’s Elite Fight Night number 11. For those who have not been out to one of these yet, I highly recommend it. Although I love to watch the PPV’s, Spike, and Showtime’s fights, nothing compares to the energy and excitement of actually being there.
I cannot say enough about the quality of these shows and the people putting them on.
The headlining fight this month is Derek Downy. You can see some of Derek’s Handiwork on his MMA highlight reel. Nice ground and pound. Some great arm bars. Derek has fought in Horn’s Fight Nights, Throwdown, UCE, and several other shows including the UFC.
This card also features David Castillo, an amazing local fighter with absolutely crushing body shots. You can see some notes from the Fight Night 10 weighins, including and interview with Castillo here.
Oh, but guess who else is gonna be there? Rich “Ace” Franklin is going to be at the fights on Friday. Rich will also be at the Best Buy on 5181 South State on Thursday, October 29th from 6-9 to sign autographs.
What’s that? Want even MORE? Alrighty then… here it is: Franklin will also be offering a seminar on Saturday, October 31st from noon until three. The seminar runs $75.
